Iconic red phone boxes in Stirling’s rural areas are being offered to communities and individuals.

The local boxes include: Main Street, Killearn; Main Street, Fintry; Rowardennan; Camp Place, Callander; Keltie Bridge, Callander; Station Road, Gartmore; and Kinlochard.

Thieves steal £44,000 worth of bikes in raid on Killearn cycle shop

Thieves stole almost £44,000 worth of high-end bikes during a 60- second early-morning raid at a Killearn cycle shop.

Crooks forced entry to the Country Cycles store, in Main Street, in the early hours of Monday, January 11, and made off with five top-of-the-range e-bikes.

First look: Scottish builder’s plans for former Killearn Hospital

A SCOTTISH housebuilder has released a taster of what house-buyers can expect from its development plans for the grounds of the former Killearn Hospital.

CALA Homes (West) has submitted a planning application to Stirling Council to build 89 homes of varying size on the site. It released a computer-generated image today (pictured) that it says reveals how it will transform the derelict location into a “vibrant community that incorporates plentiful green space and complements its rural location”.

Killearn Community Fireworks Display 2019

The organisers of this year’s KCFC Annual Family Charity Fireworks and Bonfire extravaganza look forward to welcoming you to the village on Saturday 2nd November 2019. The gates to the field behind the village hall will open at 7:00pm and the event will start promptly at 7:30pm. Entry is by donation and the entire event is funded by donations on the evening so please dig deep and give generously. We’re proudly supported by the local businesses who advertise in our program which is distributed to 1,000’s of local homes. If you are travelling by car to the village, please allow plenty time to get into Killearn and find a parking place.
