A CLOSE eye is being kept on the potential impact of a proposed windfarm.

Lomond Energy Ltd is proposing to develop a 14-turbine windfarm on Hill of Standing Stones between Merkins Muir and Auchenreoch Muir, on the north-west slopes of the Kilpatrick Hills.

Drinking ban extension

OUTDOOR drinking could be banned in a wider area of Loch Lomond.

Buchanan Community Council wants to have the byelaws extended to cover the east side of the loch.

Strathblane man claimed crashed car had been stolen

A MOTORIST who crashed his car after a night out and then told police it had been stolen has been ordered to carry out 120 hours of community service.
