Due to unforeseen circumstances the Killearn Pharmacy is only opening between:

12.00pm – 2.00pm
5.00pm – 6.00pm

Please be assured that this is a TEMPORARY change and they, hope to resume normal opening hours within the next day or so.

Killearn Community Fireworks Display 2019

The organisers of this year’s KCFC Annual Family Charity Fireworks and Bonfire extravaganza look forward to welcoming you to the village on Saturday 2nd November 2019. The gates to the field behind the village hall will open at 7:00pm and the event will start promptly at 7:30pm. Entry is by donation and the entire event is funded by donations on the evening so please dig deep and give generously. We’re proudly supported by the local businesses who advertise in our program which is distributed to 1,000’s of local homes. If you are travelling by car to the village, please allow plenty time to get into Killearn and find a parking place.

Outlander beauty spot set for £2million development as visitor numbers soar

A plan to transform a Stirling area beauty spot – which has become a magnet for fans of the hit TV series Outlander – was unveiled yesterday (Thursday).

Detailed proposals have been submitted to Stirling Council for a 150-space car park plus visitor centre and restaurant, and a network of paths, bridges and viewing platforms at the Devil’s Pulpit, in Finnich Glen, near Killearn

Scotland’s best place to live revealed in UK-wide competition

Dundee has been named the best place to live in Scotland months after the opening of its long-awaited V&A museum.

The city has been named ahead of Leith and Stockbridge, in Edinburgh, and Finnieston in Glasgow, in the annual Best Places to Live in the UK survey.

Killearn also made it into this list.

“Much needed” affordable homes completed in Killearn

A new £1.5 million affordable housing development in the village of Killearn by Rural Stirling Housing Association has seen all twelve homes handed over to tenants.

The homes, built by Mactaggart and Mickel, comprise a mix of one, two and three-bed properties and form part of a larger private development. Planning conditions required that a third of all properties in the development had to be affordable homes for rent.

New homes for Killearn village

Stirling MSP Bruce Crawford officially opened a new Rural Stirling Housing Association site in Killearn.

The site includes 12 new homes – 8 houses and 4 cottage flats.

Killearn road works spark fury as business owners hit out

Killearn business owners this week hit out at the village’s community council after road works disrupted their businesses.

Works are underway in the village to provide a traffic island in Station Road, with the aim of easing pedestrian access.
