New bid to revitalise Killearn Hospital site

Developers are embarking on a new bid to transform the former Killearn Hospital site.

The site has been considered an eyesore by many for decades, with several ideas for redeveloping the site failing to come to fruition.

Killearn Community Council’s next meeting

The next meeting of Killearn Community Council will be held on Wednesday, October 24 at 8pm in Killearn Primary School.

The first item on the agenda will be a presentation by Murray Cook, Stirling Council’s archaeologist, on his recent work in the area.

“Outrage” over garden proposal

Killearn Community Council has failed in a bid to prevent a piece of land in a village housing estate being turned into a private garden.

Applicant Karen Lindsay had submitted application to Stirling Council planners for change of use and erection of a boundary fence next to 16 Rowan Crescent, which was discussed before Stirling Council’s planning panel at a hearing on Tuesday.
